With apologies to Peter Drucker who famously stated that if you can’t measure it then you can’t manage it.
We have spoken about the concept of Intraterships and why internal learning must be prioritised and then reinforced with external training. The best way of delivering this training is the CONCENTRIC APPROACH where members of staff at all levels of the corporate hierarchy should be on the same Intraternship. We aren’t only looking for a transfer of knowledge but also a sharing of ideas that will lead to innovations in the organisation. The adoption of these innovations are the crux of the programme. Innovations lead to streamlining of processes at the very least.
There are numerous reasons why we recommend the duration of an Intraternship programme to be at least 12 months.
- The first few sessions are for ideas sharing combined with a transfer of knowledge
- Each person in the programme may be a subject matter expert themselves and may want to present to their Intraternship Colleagues
- Legislation and technology evolve rapidly. The primary facilitator cannot always have a finger on that pulse.

IF YOU CAN’T MANAGE IT, YOU CAN’T MEASURE IT
Considering that many organisations have become familiar with online meetings we cannot expect that Intraternship training sessions will be conducted in a classroom-type environment. An Intraternship system has to take virtual participants into account. The delivery will always be done using a system like Teams, Google Meets and ZOOM. But it’s capturing of information that is the most important aspect of this programme. A lot of information will be shared between the delegates and then will be required to be shared and stored. On top of this attendance records need to be kept for the ultimate recognition of the Intraternship.
These are a few of the key features of the RISE INTRATERNSHIP SYSTEM.
